Self-made snippets do not work properly. As was with 2.2.7 under Ubuntu 16.04, it is still the same with 2.2.12 under Ubuntu 22.04. Snippets are not inserted at the cursor position by clicking on the snippet. You must type and mark something (anything), then the snippet will be inserted.
A work-around is to edit the snippet, changing nothing. Then it will work as it should, but only as long as bluefish is open.
My problem is, it might save me one or two hours a year, compared with other HTML editors, but just to find out what does not work and what to do against the problem cost me many more hours. BlueGriffon has snippets, too. That one can not dynamic update menus, like bluefish with "global search and replace" or "synchronize text blocks", so for this purpose I load all the HTML documents in bluefish and use the global replace, but else it does what is promised.
