Nevermind! I figured it out! I use Vista and uploaded a good quality .avi torrent and used these settings: Video Compressor: Divx 6.6.1 Codec (2 logical CPUs) & Audio Compressor: PCM. Try it out! Here's the result: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_MUf_Dk08A Not bad!

Doesn't leave the audio synced with the freaking video, just like every other software I tried out there, no matter what re-encoder or compressor I use, or even if I don't re-encode!
If this is goddamn freeware free of registration codes and shit, then why the hell does it have to leave a stupid watermark seal on the output video, you idiot developers?!!

If anyone went thru the hell of converting with vlc software, which is a very good player by the way(it is quick with no tralala toys. It open as you want it to; which means now) anyone can use this cutter. It works great for me (and I have this DAMN Vista). With Kate's cutter, I cut any media file without transcode if I want to.

-Can't find a way to extract portion of a vid without a downside:
either the compression method creates a very large file -- eating up so much of my diskspace; OR creates a relatively small file with compromised quality.

-In short, IT COULDN'T CUT A VID AS IT IS...

this does not work. you select a section of video to cut, it starts processing, then gets some error :(. i am going nuts trying to find a free video cutter that works... if anyone could let me know at coughcool72@hotmail.com, WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. also too please note the vcs.exe. won't set up and freezes your computer (had to turn off and on at power), naturipic video cutter won't read mpeg files, avs free video cutter is just a free converter, have tried shareaza with no luck, HELP!!

Despite the fact it wont run at all ' First it asked for free bogus email registration it then took over your system executing any program using mouse pointer and had to reboot to regain control.
Stay away from it.
