I purchased an upgrade Internet Security Barrier X6 (about 70 USD) about five weeks ago and got around to configuring it about two weeks later. It immediately marked 95% of my email as spam--you know, the usual suspects like the daily NYTimes and the financial newsletters I pay for--and deleted them or, at least, wouldn't let me into them. I contacted Intego support re this problem and they were less than helpful. Further inquiries to them went unanswered. An email to Intego corporate also went unanswered. I can't delete the software and they won't tell me how to do it. Recently, it's started throwing up popup phishing warnings about most of the sites I visit (NYTimes, Google, Yahoo....) and when you close the warning it keeps popping back. My advice: buy this product at your risk. |
