OpenShot Video Editor is a free and open-source non-linear video editing software package for Linux, built with Python, GTK, and the MLT Framework. OpenShot can take your videos, photos, and music files and help you create the film you have always dreamed of. Easily add sub-titles, transitions, and effects, and then export your film to DVD, YouTube, Vimeo, Xbox 360, and many other common formats. The program comes wrapped in a sleek and stylish UI designed with tones of black and grey. The main window consists of three panels, namely the area where you can preview the files, transitions or effects, the timeline and the player where you can preview your projects.
