RTC Zap is a premium softphone targeting residential users. Built on WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) with usability in mind, we are proud to present the all new Zap 4. WPF has given us the opportunity to embrace real-time actions and animations that are meant to help you, without obscuring vital day-to-day processes.

We offer a non-intrusive drag-and-drop feature, enabling the user easy access to many actions like adding a contact to your favorites, or directly creating a contact from an active call. You can even drag a contact from your contact list to your desktop for quick access, would you prefer that over using the built-in favorites pane.

Keep your records straight with the pane containing your call history. In this pane you are able to view your incoming, outgoing and missed calls.

Get connected to your social networks via Zap 4. We offer full integration with MSN and Google Talk (XMPP) that allows you to chat with your friends as usual.

With RTC Zap installed on your laptop, providing a network connection is available, you become available on your ordinary telephone number anywhere, at any time, as soon as you start up the computer..

Once installed, you will receive regular and free updates for your Zap 4 client, adding new features and improved functionality.

The dynamic layout of Zap 4’s tabbed windows allows Service Provider and OEM customers the ability to incorporate revenue generating advertisements such as banner ads, click-to-call and interactive video messaging into the application.

Designed to meet accessibility standards and to support multiple languages, Zap 4’s new skinning engine provides service providers and OEMs with increased options to create customized skins. Skins can incorporate features like complex animations and semi-transparent parts.

Business usage

Zap 4 is certified by Broadsoft to work well with the leading IP Centrex platform Broadworks. This allows business users to seamlessly incorporate Zap 4 as a flexible tool beside various hardphones. The softphone supports the features of the Centrex platform and can be automatically provisioned.

Chat and social networks

Zap 4 is integrated with MSN and Google Talk, allowing Zap 4 users to chat and exchange presence status with others on two of the world’s largest communities. Facebook is also integrated into the softphone, allowing sharing of presence and status info with the community. Twitter integration allows you to add your own tweets as well being able to read what people you follow have writtten. Other IM or social networks can easily be added upon request.
